Welcome to the role-playing forum of SD where I have recently been designated: "The Lady and Mistress of RPGs"... well, that is not entirely accurate, but more or less true in the fact that I will be moderating only and all role-playing threads. With the help of the others, of course - trust me, help is nice. At any rate, I should place some ground rules as a template for all potential Gamemasters... ----------------------------------------------------- The Guidelines... I. All threads must begin with a description of the game to be played, outlining a brief course to be followed or goals to be met through out the game's life. Also, please include any special rules that should be followed. II. All threads must include a cast list of some type and offer replacements for fallen/non-using characters (I.E. If someone hasn't been available to play their part, the GM may offer the part to someone else or write the character out of the game... with the person's permission!). IIb. If using original characters, please post a biography of the character in the Character Biographies thread with a character description including: history (if applicable), what series is he/she from (if they are from a series), and their abilities (NO God-Modding). III. Please practice proper grammar and utilise creative words to enrich the overall appeal of each game - it makes reading the games that much more intriguing when poor spelling and the lack of variation are not distracting. The little things are not a problem, but in excess is debilitating. Whenever you find errors in your post, please try to fix them => Spell-check is your friend! (Also, the use of old English spelling is fine since I tend to use them myself. ^_^) IV. Any disputes that cannot be resolved between parties must refer the matter to the moderator (Mariko Yamaki... that's me.) and the matter will be dealt with in the most sincere, but responsible and fair manner. V. If a player is not performing adequately, exhibiting unfair or rude behaviour in the game that is not warranted by the character he or she is portraying, please contact the moderator with probable cause, an example of the person's transgressions, and a list of names of others who also take offense by said person's actions. If the moderator sees it fit, the moderator will contact the person with the items set against he or she. If the person agrees to alter their actions and follows through with that promise, then no further action should be required. However, if said person is unwilling to cooperate, the person will be "socially banned" from the role-playing forum par approval of an administrator and placed on a "wall of shame" thread (Pray that there will be no need of one). VI. Follow the guidelines as best as you can and have fun. [Sounds great. =) Ima have to go find tons of members so your effors dont go wasted =) Great job xD <3 -vf] |
