i hate american remakes they butcher the storylines >:O like in Kairo and Juon (pulse and the grudge) they make no sense and people think the movies suck and it give the whole thing bad rep. the originals are best...like in Pulse. the original is perfect, its not too hightech and its perfect. the american one is all this special effects that make it look all cheap and stupid. >:O they go too crazy on that stuff t-t |

So they're making an english version of One Missed Call. I've seen the original and do not approve of this remake. I can't even properly express my annoyance. so i'm going to amuse myself by playing the original ring tone over and over again on my cell phone. not the stupid gay one from the remake. |

lol what. it's not suppose to be amusing. haha. There are actually three One Missed Call movies. I hope they do not remake all three of them. The first one was good. I don't eve want to see the American remake because I'll just complain the whole time. Especially since the Evil Ring Tone isn't the same and that's what made it so eerie. Best ring tone ever. It freaks out my mum when my phone rings. So... it's not exactly Japanese horror i'm about to discuss, but it is in the same line as my last post about One Missed Call So there is a movie called The Eye coming out. It is based on a movie from hong kong called Jian Gui, when translated is of the same title. I happen to have both the first and second Jian Gui movies, both freaky and both I enjoy. I did not see the preview for the american remake, I just heard the narrator guy say, 'The Eye' followed by some screaming. So I IMDBed that shit. And low and behold, another remake of an asian horror. I'm going to look for the trailer now to judge, but I'm afraid this year is going to be the year of the american remakes. It makes me very scared. I wish america could be original and come up with some good horrors that aren't remakes of other countries or older movies. Maybe if they came up with some originals first then they could make some remakes. Oh sad. Hopefully they'll do a generally decent job, I know it can't be perfect. |

oh, bollocks why must they ruin my movies. The second Jian Gui movie is awesome. I actually like it more than the first one. There's a Jian Gui 10 translated to infinity but I haven't seen that. Ah, now i'm going to watch them. AWAY!! |
